The μMACS Separator is designed for molecular biology and protein biochemistry applications. The μMACS Separator is used in combination with μ Columns and MACS MicroBeads. The μMACS Separator can hold up to four μ Columns. Highly pure molecules such as mRNA, sequence-specific nucleic acids, proteins, or viruses can be isolated in a small volume suitable for further processing. The μMACS Separator is designed for fast and easy separation of biomolecules such as RNA or proteins using μ Columns and MACS MicroBeads. The separator contains a powerful permanent magnet that induces a high-gradient magnetic field within the μ Column, a field strong enough to retain target molecules that are magnetically labeled with the extremely small MACS MicroBeads.
